Brekkie In The Evening | Dough – The Best Doughnut In Brooklyn

Writer's picture: DanielleDanielle

You may only be able to eat one because of how rich, flavorful, dough-y, sweet, and HUGE it is, but man… Dough has gotten it all figured out when it comes to making doughnuts. I first got a taste of their doughnuts in a coffee shop in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn, and it only took one bite before I was hooked. Recently, I decided to venture out and visit Dough’s main location on Franklin Ave and I wasn’t disappointed.

The shop was founded by Chef Fany Gerson, who has created a very unique tasting doughnut because of the Latin American and European influences in her craft. Each doughnut is handmade in small batches to preserve freshness. With flavors like Hibiscus, Toasted Coconut, and Mocha-Almond Crunch your tastebuds are in for a treat. But don’t let those flavors scare you! For those preferring a more traditional doughnut, they serve delightfully fluffy cinnamon sugar doughnuts and plain glazed options. Doughnuts not your thing? They also make a fun twist on a babka that they call a Doughka and it’s fluffier than a regular babka.

I also love that you get to see some of the doughnut-making process through the clear glass window inside the shop. And what’s a doughnut without coffee? They’ve got that too. So stop in… grab a bite. You wont regret it 😉
